*sigh* Too many shits happens going on. I need a break. I really need an escape, and writing this surely helps in a way. Hah! People! I’d just gone through 2010 in film from Wikipedia and decided that these are the movies I want to watch this year! Now I just really hope that these movies will be available for our Malaysian market and cinemas – (ceh, like that going to stop me. Internet kan ada!)
Random listed:
1. Valentines Day

Who’s in it: Taylor Swift! – well that kid Taylor Lautner is also in it, plus some other good Hollywood A List celebrity but Swift’s appearance will the one I am looking forward the most. Heck, this one should be fun. But, I really don’t want to watch a romantic flick like this alone (been my life long principale to never watch “romance” in cinema) so I guess maybe I’ll tag some people along with me. I bet Madona James will also like this one.
2. Legion

Why? Somehow the ideas of God wanting to destroy man kind once again (after how He did during The Great Noah’s Flood) is just too captivating. So this is what this movie is about, the second flood. Only in this one, God sends a flood of angels to destroy man kind, but the only thing that stand in His way is the Archangel Michael – funny, as much as I appreciate Hollywood creativity, I laugh at the irony; Michael was the angel who stood against the fallen Lucifer from destroying man during the War In Heaven – now in this movie he stood against God? Oh well. I bet this is rather SSDD but the concept alone is alluring.
3. Tooth Fairy

Who’s in it? Dwayne The Rock Johnson! Hah, I kinda enjoy most of his family themed movies before, well not sure how this one is going to be but sure it brings Dwayne Johnson’s back into another father-kids kinda relationships. So, I want to watch it.
4. Edge of Darkness.

Action packed. Thrilling. Political conspiracies and a whole lot of shootings and killings; my kind of movie! Plus, Mel Gibson finally returns as an actor after years of absence because of movie directing and producing.
5. When In Rome

The plot: A successful and single art curator (Kristen Bell) goes to Rome to attend her younger sister’s impulsive marriage. While there, she picks up coins from a reputed “fountain of love,” (probably based on the Trevi Fountain) and when she leaves she is pursued back to New York by a band of aggressive suitors whose coins she took.
Okay, should be a funny boy chase girl kind of movie and believe me I am not gay when I said these following lines; I actually wanted to watched this because Josh Duhamel is the lead character…Okay that’s a little gay but I’m not! Cis, he cheated on Fergie! Just kidding. Who wouldn’t like a romantic comedy? We all do.
6. Dear John

Who’s in it: Channing Tatum, he’s good in his previous movie. And this one is a combination of love and war movie, so I like it. But judging from the titles itself – must be one of the ‘Dear John’ kinda story where the girl broke the boy’s heart in the end – hence, a ‘dear John’ movie. Not expecting to watch this one alone too.
7. From Paris With Love

Who’s in it; Jonathan Rhyes Myers – shit, I hate this guy because he got to play the casanova King in The Tudors and got to bed with a lots of pretty woman. But From Paris With Love is a movie about, well – terrorism, international relations and intelligence operations depicting a young employee (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) in the office of the US Ambassador whom hooks up with an American spy (John Travolta) looking to stop a terrorist attack in the city. My kind of movie!
8. Alice In Wonderland (Must Watch)

Why? It’s a Walt Disney produced films. Okay that’s the second reason, Disney always makes an above average good enjoyable movies so this will be good. I know. I believe it. And the main reason?! My favourite actor from the Pirates of The Caribbean; Johnny Depp!
9. Seasons of The Witch

Who’s in it? Nicolas cage. Well, I am expecting a little ‘Charmed’ from this supernatural flicks, but what the hell. I bet I’ll go and just watch it. No idea what’s this whole movie is about. But any movie with Mr Cage is a good movie for me.
10. Iron Man 2 (Must Watch)

Oh, I’m looking forward for this sequel! I like the first one, beside those iron suit. Just pure awesome. After the success of its predecessor I bet this one will get even better. Nuff said.
11. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Must Watch)

Reason to watch: The original game this movie is based upon rocks! It’s a Disney produced films. So, it’s right to hope that this movie is going to be good.
12. Eclipse

Aaaaashley Greene! I just love her. Bite me Alice! Screw Bella, fuck Edward. Nice dog…er I mean wolf. *Patting Jacob Black in his tamed wolf form* Kinda reminds me; I haven’t watched New Moon. >.<
13. The Last Airbender

Woah, a real live movie adaptation? That children animation really rocks! I want to watch this! Enough said.
14. Inception (Must Watch)

A sci fi movie. Not sure what’s it about. I just looked at who is directing and automitically add this to this list. Forgive me. I just worship Christopher Nolan a lot! I like his directing. And this one, should be good and perhaps even a masterpiece. After watching Dark Knight in 2008 – I really hope this one will be even more.
15. Red Dawn.
A war movie where the Chinese invades America. Hah. Have I mention it before; warfare = my kind of movie! Period.
16. Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.
The sole reason; again I’m not gay – Shia le Bouf. He’s in it. But really, economic related movie? Is that how it’s going to be? I don’t know, but he’s a good actor and I enjoy Transformer because of him.
~~~
Well people, I think that’s pretty much it. My Hollywood movie target of this year. 16, that’s not much. I haven’t browse for those European, Russian, Korean, Japanese and Chinese movies to be released this year. I don’t know, it’s hard to get those kind of movies in Malaysian cinemas, especially here in KK. Even if they’re here, not most of them are that enjoyable I know. Hmm. Oh well.
Looking forward for them!
I wanna watch #8, #10, #11, #14 and definitely The Last Airbender!!! Hope M. Night Shyamalan doesnt screw this up
All those are ‘a must watch’ hah, yeah!…Sure hope the directer doesn’t screw up The Last Airbender because that anime really great.
